LARGE DIAMETER PILES
"Large Diameter Drilled Piles" means those excavated or drilled by rotation, using a stabilizing fluid to support the excavations and submerged concreting, with a diameter ranging from 70cm to 2.50m.
The increasing frequency of heavy constructions and structures with very high concentrated loads has allowed the development and constant use of large diameter piles in building, industrial and infrastructure works.
The gradual replacement of traditional rotary tables coupled to crawler cranes that are difficult to handle and have a high maintenance cost with more modern and compact equipment, pioneered by FUNDESP, in addition to expanding even further the field of application of excavated piles, provides significant economic advantages by the reduction of execution times and reduced mobilization costs.
